Probably HK's richest man and one of the world's richest men has been found guilty of reverse hijacking of the name yangtze.com in Chinese 長江.com
in addition it appears that some of the lawyers involved may be guilty of, shall we say- improper behavior - this is ongoing.

WIPO Domain Name Decision: D2009-0540

Thanks for reporting this UDRP decision wot. What happens when there's a ruling of reverse domain name hijacking? Does the respondent get costs?

Don't know the answer but will try to find out - he should though.

No costs.

I don't think there should be though, because otherwise the reverse has to be true and whenever a domainer loses, he'd get costs against him.

The lawyer who handled this is Zak Muskovitch - a brilliant lawyer from Toronto who won Canada's first (and only) reverse hijacking case.

can someone simplify the case for us?

its has loads of legal jargons

The complainants had previously brought a similar complaint against the respondent involving the same domain. The complainants lost that case.

When the complainants re-filed its complaint, the panel found it was brought in bad faith and that therefore the complainants were guilty of reverse domain name hijacking.
