Which is the better one to own in your opinion? Are they both the same? I've found a couple of good words for .co.in that aren't available as a .in. Should I buy them?

yup .IN's are definitely better..the only problem is that they are almost twice the cost of the CO.IN's..
plus if it continues like this, .IN will also be preferred by search engines when it comes to SEO..

Google is an auction house, Most registration companies offer reduced new registrations for year one. 101Domain current charge .in=$7 .co.in=$7.99 cover both if you can, but the co.in will bleed traffic (IMO) to the .in / Good Luck @ the tables.I read about .co.cc site were affected as Google decided to penalize entire domain.
