Hi,
domain greenply.in & greenply.co.in are still available for registration.

Greenply is a BSE listed company, I still wonder why they didn't register .in and .co.in:rolleyes: I think they forgot it

Anyone who registers these names and sell them to company at higher price but going by INPR previous record, it risky

So who is willing to take the risk:p

If you register these domain, please post here

If the person who registers it posts here, then he tends to loose if there is a court hearing ...

So risk it, reg it.. no need to post here :p

You're playing with fire if you do this...

Not to mention you'd be giving legitimate domainers a bad reputation which hurts us all in the long run.

But it's pretty silly that the company hasn't registered these domains. Someone is asleep at the wheel.

Do you really think if the company is listed in BSE will have the right to obtain the domain name even they haven't TRADEMARKED the name?

The trademark GREENPLY was advertised as a pending mark in India's Trademarks Journal on 1st Feb 2007. The claimed date of first use is 1990. Therefore, unless Greenply's application was opposed, it would have went ahead to registration (source).

As Ceres pointed out, it looks like it has been trademarked.

However, even if it hadn't been, that's not the end of the story. They've got common law rights to it - they have been trading under the name for many years.

A trademark is helpful, but it's not the only consideration.
