Monster $8 Million Sale from 2015 Confirmed - Giant .Net Sale Tops This Week's Chart

By Ron Jackson

I was away last week covering the 2016 NamesCon conference in Las Vegas so we have a double length column for you this week [...]

[...] where we learned from veteran domain investor John Deneen that he sold
Recovery.net for $200,000.

That is a huge number for a
non .com gTLD sale - in fact it is bigger than any reported sale in that category in 2015.

[...] the desire to acquire ultra-short domains remains unabated. The next three spots [...] 3-letter .coms. Sedo logged all three of those sales, picking up $99,750 for AWM.com [...] an even shorter domain - 7.gg at $44,145 (.gg is a seldom seen ccTLD representing Bailiwick of Guernsey, including the islands of Guernsey, Alderney, Sark, Herm, Jethou and Lihou).

The short numeric domains that were so popular with Chinese buyers last year also continue to draw significant money. Sedo sold #6 9208.com for $32,500 while GGRG.com sold 3141.com for $32,000.
