Is India Good Place to Live?

India does have a set of problems associated with it. But then, which country is free of problems? India still has diverse cultures and I think, corruption is the root cause of every thing else problematic here.

    What is your national animal?

Even I agree with Raghav. Indian national animal is the Bengal Tiger. National bird is the peacock. Elephant is not our national animal, not until the last time I checked. :)

    Mobile Phone Dermatitis

Wow. This is some news! I didn't know that besides the much talked about "harmful radiations and their ill effects", there was some thing like skin irritation attached to the use of mobile phones as well. I use them a lot. I guess I should be more careful now. :)

    Another Electric Car From India

At the price of 85000, Oreva does seem promising. With the sleek design and the battery based fuel, I really am looking forward to Oreva and the likes of it.

    DotSauce vs. GrandNames

I know how frustrating it can get to see some mediocre domain names sold at an insanely high price. a 999$ for simple domain names sounds ridiculous. I think it isn't fair on the part of some individuals to purposely remove names off the market to resale at a ridiculously high price.

India's Courtroom Now Using Brain-Scanning Technology

Indian court of law has accepted Narcotics tests and lie detection tests before in spite of the gact that some terrorists have allegedly found a way around these as well. I think as long as the technology gives reliable results, there is no harm relying on it.

    take it or leave it?

I'd suggest put the domain name on auction. "hotelguru" is a nice domain name. There ought to be plenty of people out there who'd love to buy it for more than that :)

    Indian Political Parties

I don't think our political leaders know much about the domains and TLDs. The fact that they have a website of their own or their parties' is more than enough for them. :)

    Google.in ?

I think Google does it because it is popular in many countries of the world. "google.co.*", where * signifies the country specific name, looks more generic.

    Restrictions on Country specific domains

The whole idea of Internet is to remove global boundaries. For an Indian residing in US or any citizen of a country interested in exploring more about another country, these restrictions would seem repugnant.

    Finding a good domain

Domain name suggestions is a good option. I think ".in" domains are nowhere close to being as frustrating as the ".com" domains. You can still work your way around the former. Just twist the intuitive name you want and you'll get it.

    Breeding Bad Domain Names

Thanks for the article man. I really found it interesting. The fact that a web development site would be named "yammer" and there are sites called "byburt" provides us with good examples of what NOT to do!

Google wants to know you better

The way Google is spreading its domain on the Internet sure raises some concerns. It has even entered the mobile phone world by launching Android, its new mobile device OS. The problem does not stop there. The fact that it is readily accepted where ever it goes is alarming. I think we need more...
