Chinese companies love numbers and the recent sale of 360.com for a whopping $17 million is a proof. However, it could just be the tip of the iceberg.
The business attitude is moving towards owning the matching .COM domain alongside the .CN extension.
The trend does not seem to stop at the numeric domains. It includes the LLL .com domains as well.

DNS.com recently changed hand from Smash Clicks to Shenzhen Technology Co.

Other 3-letter sales include those of PKB.com and QHZ.com(this was acquired by 62.com, a Chinese domain platform).

All these indicate that Chinese domain market is growing at an strong pace.

All these indicate that Chinese domain market is growing at an alarming rate.

I think "alarming" should be "very encouraging"?
