Bad hosting companies

What would you consider to be bad hosting sites, those that have serious downtimes or those with poor customer service? I would say both. Does your hosting provider meet your expectations?

I haven't owned a website in a year, but at that time I used Bluehost and was happy with them for several years. I thought it was a wonderful hosting company and recommended them to others, but then they raised renewal fees and basically put my site at a crawl to get me to buy a more expensive package. Or at least that's what it felt like. Customer service went downhill as well. I'd sit on hold for hours waiting for an answer.

I personally think that some hosting sites just have too many limits on what they can do. I understand having a lot of limits on the free accounts, but the premium counts should have a lot more options.
