60k is a lot of money to spend just for one domain name. I can't imagine ever paying that much. I'm going to get into domaining soon, so hopefully I can land a few good sales.

Thanks for the information. I'll have to keep that in mind. I'm not big into domaining, I've just gotten a few for personal use. I just find it frustrating trying different names until I find a good one.

I don't think there should be any restrictions. To put a restriction saying "you're from this country, so you can only buy this domain" is like dividing the internet between countries. Its the world wide web for a reason, therefore you should not be trying to put up any restrictions bases on...

Its getting harder and harder to come up with unique domain names. It seems like every time I come up with a unique name and check availability, its taken. How do you go about coming up with your domains? Do you use domain name suggestions, or do you think them up and then check them?

I don't ask for help unless I really need it. If its something I just can't handle myself or I need advice, its usually my best friend that I go to for help. For me, friends are the easiest to talk to, especially friends you've known for many years.

I checked the website and it doesn't seem to be established. I think its more of a startup blog. I'm guessing its monetized using affiliate links? How many visitors/month and what is the monthly revenue?

I prefer to eat out at a restaurant if I want a good meal. At home its usually quick fix items with the occasional cooked meal. I'm not a great cook, so if I want the good stuff, I go to a restaurant.

When I'm at home, I use my desktop over anything. I don't care to use my laptop that much, simply because its not comfortable to use for long periods of time. If I need internet on the go, I typically use my phone. Usually, the only time the laptop gets used it when I'm traveling.

I have never really cared for the reality shows. I've watched a few here and there, and seen some commercials advertising them. I just can't get into any of them. They all seem to be rehashed versions of others.

I think that the TV commercials are every 5 minutes, or so it seems. Its sad when you watch a 30 minute program and half of that 30 minutes you spend watching commercials.

I prefer to be a leader. If you depend on others to make decisions for you, then you'll be just that, a dependent. That may be fine for some people, but if you ever wish to success and reach your potential, you've got to make your own decisions. Advice is fine, but use it as a guide.

When you are by yourself for a while, say a few hours, do you talk to yourself. I just noticed that as I was reading through a few of the posts, I read them aloud as if I were reading to another person. I do this sometimes and I think its because you actually learn better if you hear something...

I've dropped gaming as of late due to lack of time. When I did play, I played Call of Duty 4 here and there. I never was good at it, but it was fun and fast paced.

That is a very good question and something I'd like to know myself. With all the drama that is going on right now between McCain and Obama, its surely making its way into the news around the world.

While I do understand the government's thinking that it will reduce the number of rats and increase the amount of grain, I don't see how anyone would want to eat them. What is their slogan going to be for this little campaign? "Save A Grain, Eat A Rat!":eek:

How India's .IN Domain Rouses from its Slumber This is an old article I found while searching for .in domains. I found it to be an interesting read. Its amazing that it grew so fast. I'm sure the number of registered .in domains is much higher than 3 years ago.

They could change it, but once you're established it really doesn't matter if you change it or not. People will know to go to .co.in rather than .in . And as for redirecting, they already have .in forwarded, so I don't see the point in changing.

I'm probably going to end up like that too, Jeff. I have to have the internet with me at all times. I've got a PC, laptop, or phone with me at all times. I am always referred to as the family nerd.

How much longer do you think advertisers are going to be using this method to reach customers? I don't think its nearly as effective as it once was, mostly due to Tivo and DVR. Do you think this is why internet marketing has become the big form of advertisement?
