.in gets indirectly promoted by PM of India

Was watching the Indian PM Narendra Modi's speech at Madison Garden on YouTube and he talked about a site where citizens can help Government and he said "MyGov DOT in"

MyGov.in forwards after a long time to MyGov.nic.in, which is the actual working site, already popularized in India since last 2 months. MyGov.in whois info shows the NIC (a Government of India department) as the owner, registration date is 23-Apr-2010 and registrar is Net4India. The whois record was last updated on 25-Jul-2014. The idea of MyGov was propagated by our Prime Minister after he took over this year and MyGov.nic.in was officially launched on 26-Jul-2014.

Official sites of the Indian government entities are almost always on the third level under NIC.IN. Owning and forwarding a .IN to the .NIC.IN site is an interesting departure from this practice, and it might be interesting to trace the history of the domain MyGov.in.
