English in India is similar to .com in the domain world. The brand is entrenched and the country has seen the impact of being fluent in English (call centers and service jobs for example, which people can aspire to).
IDN's will have its place but will never truly replace the English brand in India.

English will always have a place, but don't give up on your Indian Language IDNs.
There is a large, tech savy population in India, and its growing.
I sold one of my Hindi IDNs, for $10,000 just 3 months ago.
