I know, lots of being said about future forecast for number of users, here is another one:

'E-Commerce Industry to Touch USD 90 Billion by 2021 in India'

The interesting thing is in the last paragraph:

"At a recent conference, Google India declared that Indian internet users will surpass the number in the US by the end of 2014 and around 500 million people will be online by 2018."

Interesting! And the origin of this information is a conference by Rajan Anandan, managing director of Google India.

its really great the way business ventures are been encouraged and with policies in process of being amended to be more investor friendly over couple of months, we can see good "e" & "i".

i feel telecom poviders need to do more for higher internet penetration as software & hardware technology at all price ranges are available but data usage is still smething India needs to look into.
