Unbelievable ... great sale mate.
Did you put the Asking Price for 1700EUR ? or both of you make counter offer ?
None of them are set Fixed Price, and both of us made counter offers.
Points below are what we persist on,
1.When an end user is met, bottomline for the domain is basically $1,000.
We dare to ask a higher price in order to achieve max profit, though it may scare the buyer away. Chances don't always come.
2.No definite price range is shown before we get to know buyer's budget.
The counter offer is usually 2~8 times of the offer (sometimes the trial offer at initial stage isn't counted)
So the negotiation cases were like this,
yoox: 100-3000-200-2500-500(no high offer for the first 3 rounds, so buyer's budget not too much)-1000(bottomline shown directly with the comment Final Counter Offer)-done
compart: 200-3000-500-2800-800-2500-1500(almost buyer's bottomline)-1700-done
Negotiation rounds are better not more than 4, experientially.
