Hike .in is a flagship sale.
Such sales define market price once they make it into the sales comp data.
Who buys the domain is irrelevant, as does how much money he / they have.
Companies routinely spend $250,000 on small city specific marketing campaigns.
From my perspective, having been in advertising for 25 years, domains provide the highest ROI to real business.
@sedo.com
hike.in - 20000 GBP or $31,860 (WOW!!)
angel.in - $1750
We .in domainers need to stop(or reduce)selling ourselves short when negotiating domain prices. Hike.in's seller obviously thinks highly of this name and didn't sell it for cheap. It is a good lesson for us all.
Sold cricketshop.in for $900 at Sedo.
By the way, does India mostly use "shop" or "store" or both?
