Indian Domain Owners Association, (IDOA) the premier organization of leading domain investors, web entrepreneurs and service providers in India, is organizing the first ever international domain conference in India, called World Domain Day[SUP] TM[/SUP] [WDD 2014] on 24th August 2014 at Hyderabad.

World Domain Day will bring together domain owners , affiliate marketers , bloggers , business tycoons and service providers from India, USA, UK, Dubai, Australia, Denmark, New Zealand and is expected to get extensive media coverage.

We are looking forward to build a mutually beneficial relation with individuals and companies operating in the same space. We are hopeful that as an event it will be a great opportunity to network and tap into the Indian market which is still under-developed and growing rapidly.

We opened registrations recently, and in less than a week, have sold over 60 tickets.

One of the most successful domain investors ever, Mike is founder of successful, active, for-profit corporations also including Phone.com, SEO.com, Skateboards.com, DomainMarket.com, Yield Software, BrowserMedia, Graphics.net, and others. In many cases his companies exchange resources, talent and technologies in their never-ending quest to deliver innovative, profitable digital products and services.

In 1994 he founded Internet Interstate, which he sold to Verio Inc. in 1997.

In 1998, he founded BuyDomains.com (now NameMedia), the world’s largest secondary market for domain names, and sold majority interest to Highland Capital and Summit Partners in 2005, along with the “Seeq.com” search engine portal. Michael Marcovici (CEO, DDF) to speak at WORLD DOMAIN DAY

Michael Marcovici’s expertise in online business stretches back to 1991 when the Internet worked without WWW and domains. He is also the founder of the Austria Boersenbrief, a financial expert’s magazine, and was a private equity fund manager for five years. Michael became involved with domains in 2002 when he started to register, buy and sell valuable domains. In 2005, he intensified his involvement by buying more domains, especially in ccTLD´s such as Austria and Germany. After 2006, Michael became increasingly involved in online businesses, especially domaining, and increased the value of his portfolio. Michael is the director of the Domain Developers Fund.

Andrew Rosener (MediaOptions) to speak at WORLD DOMAIN DAY​

Andrew Rosener, founder of MediaOptions.com, is another classic example of someone who just happened to stumble into the domain industry. He had purchased a few domains of personal interest in the late 90′s, but it wasn’t until 2005 that he really saw the potential of domain names when he was contacted by an importer of specialty ham from Spain in order to buy several domain names he owned. After completing that deal he immediately started looking at the domain market and trying to figure out where he could make more money.

Despite his late start, Andrew’s rise in the domain industry has been pretty remarkable, and you’ve likely noticed some of his sales at the top of the DNJournal sales charts. For instance, HX.com was the top publicly reported sale last week, and the prior week AutoInsurance.org took the top spot.
