Looks like a "sex forum" has been launched on Masala.xxx:

It doesn't look like there is any actual adult content, rather just discussion about adult content.

A sex forum for India is a good idea, although a bit controversial. Also, masala.xxx is a very good domain. Doesn't it seem strange to anybody else that a .xxx domain is already active? I thought the sunrise didn't start until September.

Good point, it's not really clear how they obtained the domain. There was a Founder's Program that allowed 1500 or so top domains to be sold - perhaps that is how it was obtained.

Very few were sold, most were given away by the registry on the basis that they would be developed. here
