We all love to monetize our sites. Now content writing takes time and/or! is expensive.
However articles from other sites and wiki can be helpful in creating content.
Does seo and rankings get affected by taking articles form wiki and is there any copyright issue to wiki articles .
Can it lead to google 'sandboxing' and have negative seo

:)

If you are using Wiki contents make sure you have something like "resource from" , etc..
I am not sure about negative seao but for duplicate contents you may not get ranked at all. There are other threads on the similar topic in the forum so worth a search.

Google has published information regarding websites that scrape content from other sites and that have little or no original content of its own:

Little or no original content - Webmasters/Site owners Help

However, some webmasters attempt to improve their page's ranking and attract visitors by creating pages with many words but little or no authentic content. Google will take action against domains that try to rank more highly by just showing scraped or other auto-generated pages that don't add any value to users.

If you decide to write your own original content, check out the article by Peter Da Vanzo mentioned in this thread. He offers tips on how to get past writers block, how to give your ideas form, and how to write with a unique voice etc.
