A new Cover Story is out at DNJournal.com. After running six annual conferences under the DOMAINfest Global banner, the show's promoter, Oversee.net's DomainSponsor.com unit, decided it was time for a change. Even though DOMAINfest consistently drew solid crowds and survived a major shakeout in the domain conference space, Oversee CEO Debra Domeyer was not content with the status quo. That resulted in a new name - Webfest Global - for the 2013 conference that was held February 5-7 at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica, California. More importantly, it also meant a new game plan for the venerable show that involved expanding the conference's focus beyond just domains to include mobile, social media and everything related to developing and marketing an online business. You can get the full story (including many previously unpublished photos) here - Webfest Global's Maiden Voyage: Why the 2013 Conference Set Sail With a New Name and a Different Game

I am guessing the diversification has a lot to do with the domain market currently being on it's knees and is currently no longer viable as a single business.
