The new weekly domain sales Report is out at DNJournal.com. Ultra-short domain names loosened their stranglehold on the top sales this week, even though three of the top four spots went to 3-letter .coms. Last week 11 of the 12 biggest sales were 3 letters or less but this week those LLL .coms were the only ones among the first dozen that were that short. That's not to say the other leaders needed to tighten their alphabetical waistlines. In fact the week's biggest sale, at $197,500, was for a domain that Is only five letters long. While the .coms enjoyed their usual dominance the non .com gTLDs and the ccTLDs each had two entries on the elite list and both of those groups put up a sale that ranked among the year’s 20 biggest in their categories.
