during the last few month I have observed the development of all .in-sites on google.co.in:

12.04.2008: 60.800.000 .in-Sites (inlcude the other extensions .co.in, net.in, etc...!)
06.05.2008: 73.000.000
28.01.2009: 324.000.000

-->.in-google-sites

maybe interesting for you!?


for comparison only:

site:.com : 26,450,000,000
site:.org : 2,200,000,000
site:.net : 1,440,000,000
site:.info : 308,000,000
site:.biz : 102,000,000

Thanks for posting these figures. The increase of Indian domains on Google for January 2009 is great!

Now, I wonder what the figures will be in January 2010?!....

EDIT:
To add further perspective in the figures provided by Thomas, and to highlight how promising these figures are, I did some comparison searches with other ccTLDs. The point to remember is that India is just getting started on the internet:

The figures provided by Thomas show 324.000.000 for Indian domains on Google.co.in:

Google.ca shows:
214,000,000 for .CA domains,
site:.ca - Google Search

Google.com.mx shows:
424,000,000 for .MX domains (includes .com.mx, edu.mx, .org.mx etc)
site:.mx - Buscar con Google

Google.co.uk shows:
690,000,000 for .UK domains, (includes .co.uk, .org.uk etc)
site:.uk - Google Search

That's a good increase!

I think that this is showing the number of *pages* indexed by Google of .in websites.

Also, if you look through the results, some amazingly bad domain names are being used.

Thanks Tomko for the figures. Surprisingly, it seems that more .mx-pages are indexed than .in
