Kingfisher did 100% online booking. They have their own site and I don't see any affiliate system in place.
Jet Airways did 84%, again no affiliate system.
Indian Airlines did 64% (and Air India 7%) and it (IA and AI merged now) being a public sector enterprise, I doubt if they even acknowledge something called an affiliate
A Google search for any of these airlines yields their own sites at the top and even in the paid ads, with high-flying agencies like Yatra, ClearTrip, MakeMyTrip etc., next to them.
So, where does that leave domainers and .IN travel sites? There is no scope in Air Travel business actually, for SMEs and domainers. It is already cornered by big and aggressive offline agents since long time. Even if you manage to get some traffic, where do you send it and what for?
The real scope for travel domains would be in the highly unorganized road travel industry and the badly networked hotel industry along with the tourism industry. SMEs and .IN domainers should rather target last-mile packages and services.
