Welcome to the biggest weekly domain sales report in the 12-year history of DNJournal.com! As we reported in our newsletters breaking down sales for the 3rd and 4th quarters of 2014, the domain aftermarket staged a major rebound in the second half of last year. It turns out the boom was even bigger than we realized. Numbers for the latter half of 2014 were impressive even though we had no sales data from two of the largest aftermarket platforms - Go Daddy Auctions/Afternic and DomainNameSales.com (DNS) - from the final two quarters. That changed this week when DNS gave us their voluminous list of sales covering the last 8 months (every sale since the start of 3Q-2014 through this past week). As a result we have over 1,500 previously unreported sales to share with you this week, resulting, for the first time ever, in an all extension Top 20 Sales Chart on which every domain hit six figures [...]
In addition to the millions of dollars worth of DNS sales being revealed in this report they had over $4.6 million more in sales over the same time frame that they couldn't report due to non-disclosure agreements [...]
