sedo sucks - must be idiots

hey guys,

just wondering if anyone has had 'really nice' travel related domains rejected by sedo?

i submitted
routards.net (french for backpapckers)
colombie.biz (spanish for colombia)
antiguaisland.net (main island in the bahamas)

and about 30 really nice country / city names rejected (quality req not met)

but yet they place retarded names like
anchorsaway.co.uk (wtf?) and others

anyone else had the same idiots rejecting your domains?

Yes, I had two pretty nice ones rejected, even though my own contact person at Sedo had suggested them himself.

It amazes me every month what strange stuff they do approve...

thanks wot, just read it and whats even worse than alot of .biz is the amount of .info that got accepted and my .info got rejected (only submitted due to boredom)

sydneyholidays.info - doesnt sound like a travel / holiday domain to me
melbourneholidays.info
and so on

oh i forgot 'holidays.cm' got rejected also
(its a .cm so who cares but 1000% keyword match none the less)

thanks for pointing me there......im not alone by the looks of things.

after i had my domains rejected i simply closed my sedo account and parked everything with bodis.com.....kinda strange that my parking revenue increased by 4 times only 3 days after the transfer. 1500+ parked domains.

the more people tell others about bad experiences with sedo the better seeing they rob us on parked revenue.

i will say it again..... SEDO SUCKS in 5 different languages and if i had 4 hands, then i would give them 4 thumbs down

please people read wot's link and see what we are up against.

one person had 12 domains like business-.com (made it into auction)

make the judgment for yourself regarding sedo.....looks a little biased

I made the post on the blog for the same reason many of you who felt a little aggrieved.

Here are a few of mine that were rejected:

TimorTourism.com

TourismMacao.com

VientianeLaos.com

MacauChina.cn

Vacations.hk

Macao.hk

iHo.tel :p

Hong-Kong.cn
(HongKong.cn is reserved)

VisitVegas.us

Nagpur.org

HotelReservations.in

https://sedo.com/search/details.php4?domain=colòmbia.com&edit=1Colòmbia.com

https://sedo.com/search/details.php4?domain=cancún.co&edit=1Cancún.co

Plus about 30 other similar names.

Sour grapes on my part?I think some of them were quite good but Wot do I know?

hhhmmmmm. you have every reason to have a bad taste in your mouth.

Vacations.hk, Colòmbia.com, TourismMacao.com, Cancún.co
how in the hell did these get rejected?

i think we shouldnt be mad at Sedo seeing ignorance is a form of retardation and you cant be angry with someone (or a group) with disabilities.

man i really do feel for you on just those there.
TBH all of these are prime tourism/travel domains

I just had a name rejected for the monthly GreatDomains auction because of "quality issues".

It is one of the best keywords available in a ccTLD extension. And where did I buy it? Yes, at GreatDomains auction...

what the?
thats totally screwed up, ive moved everything away from sedo so i never have to worry about them anymore.
(bodis pays more in parking revenue)

i really feel for you on that on........i think its just a monopoly that some of the big guys use to get our cash.

we dont really have a chance until something better comes along.
keep your domains for a few years, i am

At the very least they should have some consistency. There is none at all now.

I have also moved a lot of names to Bodis. Will see how it works out.

Guess how many of my 1300+ domains are now parked at sedo ? None .

They rejected my one word City .com domains which you can see in my signature.

your kidding?
India has more people than most countries combined.
starting to think that its just an outlet for 4-5 guys that domain for a 9 to 5 job and when they are full of a certain amount of crap......they have an auction.

your .com's get rejected and numerous .info/.biz get accepted?
walks like a duck, sounds like a duck..........must be a chicken?

idiots is an accusation they even do not understand. as a corporation they take their profits from the good intentions and naivety from millions of domainers. they get the best domains in every extensions and then make a show (autcion) where they sell most of them by thousands. i also was a beginer when i place there more than 200 domains, even paid for feature and never got any bid and even they reduced my money of revenues to a few of cents. In result i taken if all off them. Hands off my domains!

For selling and get good prices better is Bido. Sometimes one just needs one day to submitt a domain, get the 10 votes needed to go to autcion and go to autcion at the end of the day. Then it is a question of luck and find the right person. I saw domains sold by $80.000 like pad.com very recently and most of the domains sold between 38 and 400 or more.

Direct submission is just a waste of time. If you want the sedo rep's e-mail then pm me. or contact me via my website. You get a proper reply than a vague reply from automated rejection e-mails.

You are very concerned about the domains you submitted to SEDO and got no answer from themmo auctions, no bids, no even revenues.
Indian people are so smart than others (democracy is the mots longer) but maybe mostly are making the role of a bollywood halfsupid character when they submit to SEDO and hope SEDO will work perfectly to sale or auction their domains. Unlikely other web sites the game it is not so clear deliberatley. Like the GodFather II or III (I really don´t remember) they will need to be denounced step by step in Facebook or Twitter. They probably push the button "Invisible" to hidden from their critics.
