Rides.com was first registered in 1995 and I am the original owner.
Rides.com is a very strong name for any automotive related website, but it could be more valuable to a Ride Sharing/Car Sharing startup along the lines of Uber, Lyft, Carma, Sidecar,etc. These Ride Sharing businesses are in one of the fastest growing industries and what they essentially offer their customers are rides.
Still in its infancy, there is a lot of money being invested in Ride Sharing and this would be the ideal time to own such a category owning domain.
Right now the site is purposed as an automotive website focused on classic/collector cars which also boasts a Facebook following of 210,000 fans also included in the final sales price.
The quality of this domain speaks for itself. Comparable domain Ride.com sold last year for $325,000.
Transaction will be handled through Escrow.com and the buyer will be responsible for paying all escrow fees.
