Your website is a very important and vital aspect when it comes to your business. How much planning do you think should go into your website?

I agree that the website is a vital aspect. I feel that 'planning' here is quite broad in scope. Do you mean a web redesign or just general planning for. For starters, it is important to plan for the website expenses and have a content strategy. Which amongst blog posts, documents or slideshows e.t.c will be most preferred? That would be a good starting point.

As much planning as is possible should be put into making sure that everything revolving around a website is covered. Cost is an important factor because every website is unique and has different needs. How well you cement your online presence has a direct effect on overall performance of the business.

If you don't plan things out concerning your website, you're probably going to fail at what you're doing. This is a very complex part of your business.

How integral the website is to your business will determine how much planning will go into it. Either way, enough planning is vital and important; you cannot afford to miss out on that.

The question isn't how much planning should go into your website but rather how efficiency should be used to ensure that objectives are achieved in a less sophisticated manner. One should always remember that a lot may be put into planning yet yield nothing. There should be mechanisms of pinpointing indicators of growth.
