i payed for domain name through pay pal
the payment is pending status, it should be on that status???

Is this with a Directi registrar? If so, it can take them several hours to process a paypal payment.

I think a rule of thumb for with most online transactions is to leave 3 working days for them to process payment - after that email there support team or phone them.
