I'm very worried to see this:

About two years before the launch of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s launch of the Startup India campaign, a Delhi-based startup entrepreneur had registered the domain name of “Startupindia.in”. Now, the National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI) is seeking the cancellation of this domain name, as per request of Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), citing that the “domain is misleading and is in violation with the Startup India program.”

While it may seem that the names look similar, hence it could cause issues for the government’s initiative, the portal was running much before the government’s Startup India initiative took off. Thus, it is a little unclear as to how the domain is “in violation with the Startup India program”.

Here's another article about it:

NIXI only acts if someone -- a government department, asks for it. NIXI doesn’t have any kind of power vested within that it can hold, block or transfer a domain. But whenever a government entity gives it some kind of a directive, then NIXI has to act,” he said adding that in case the owner of the domain wants to contest this, it can be done at a court’s level

It seems that the owner didn't give up, so lets hope he will retain the domain.

As to the issue: disaster.
