Here is a tiny sample of some of those movements:
Omnii Inc. has acquired BrightFutures.com for an undisclosed amount from GoDaddy’s NameFind portfolio, with the transaction taking place via Afternic escrow as all NameFind sales do.
WeAreBlue.com has been acquired from BuyDomains by a currently unknown CSC Corporate Domains client. CSC is one of the most popular used corporate domain name registrars used by most of the largest companies in the world. MarkMonitor is the other. In general, when a domain name is acquired by one of these large corporate registrars, the whois information often holds “generic” whois data like “CSC Corporate Domains, Inc.”. Most of the time, the whois data will change to the actual company who purchased the domain. This can be within days or sometimes years.
Dow Jones & Company, Inc. has taken ownership of DowToken.com. The domain name was registered under whois privacy at GoDaddy on November 15, 2017 and has since transferred to CSC Corporate Domains showing Dow. There is potential that somebody else registered the domain name and Dow went after it as a brand protection measure.
Handle.com has been sold at Sedo for $95,378. The buyers are currently unknown due to the domain just selling.
Allstate Insurance Company were the buyers of prior announced PersonalTransportation.com. The domain was acquired at Afternic with the help of CSC.
Ryder Systems, which DotWeekly broke the news that they acquired Coop.com, has officially launched the service on the premium domain name Coop.com. The service allows business owners to share vehicle assets.
Apple Inc. acquires QuickTime.org from BuyDomains.com. The domain has been registered since June 2005. Apple also owns QuickTime.com, which redirects to the page on Apple.com for QuickTime support for its media player.
