According to an article in WantChinaTimes.com, nearly 60 percent of .com domain names in China were hijacked in the first half of 2014.
48.9 percent of those were controlled by oversees IP.

This information was disclosed by the director of China’s National Computer Network Emergency Response Technical Team/Coordination Center of China (CNCERT or CNCERT/CC) ,Huang Chengqin, at a forum held in Wuzhen, Zhejiang province on November 20,2014.
