The .IO extension is popular in tech and cryptocurrency circles in particular, and it’s no coincidence that .IO has been producing strong five- and six-figure sales in a bullish cryptocurrency market.
Ghoriafi has revealed that on the back of sales such as Domain.io for $50,000 and Teach.io for $35,000, he has now sold the domain Boxing.io for the equivalent of $65,000 in Bitcoin. The dollar price was calculated by Ghoriafi based on Bitcoin’s value on the day of the sale. According to Ghoriafi, the initial offer for Boxing.io was just $5,000.
