The new weekly domain sales Report is out at DNJournal.com. High end domain buyers like short names so it is rare to see any name longer than two words at the top of our weekly sales chart. In fact there hasn’t been one this year - until now. A three-word .com finally broke the long-name drought after changing hands through Go Daddy/Afternic to claim this #1 position on this week's all extension Top 20 leader board. .Coms swept nine of the top ten entries and 18 of 23 places overall (the extra spots resulted from a seven-way tie for the final position). The ccTLDs claimed four four places on the elite list and the non .com gTLDs got one. One other note today – the 2014 T.R.A.F.F.I.C. West conference in coming up just two weeks from now in Las Vegas, We got together with show co-founders Rick Schwartz and Howard Neu to find out what they have planned for their return engagement at the Bellagio Hotel and more importantly, why you should be there. You can read that interview in its entirety (including Schwartz’s unvarnished view of new gTLDs and their place at the conference): High Stakes Game: The Fate of New gTLDs & The Future of Domain Investing Will Be on the Table at T.R.A.F.F.I.C.
