India's Domain Naming

I understand that besides the .in domain, there have actually been few others tried. Most recently, .bahart failed to make the cut. I guess there was not enough interest in it. What are the alternatives that exist in the Indian domain market besides .in?

Anayaa, there are of course all the extensions of .in, like .CO.IN, .CO.NET, and things such as that. I'm sure there are others, but I can't think of them right now.

There are two main ccTLD domain extensions; the domain-name.in and domain-name.co.in. The latter is normally recommended for registered companies and/or banking institutions whereas the former is literally available for anybody in India.

There may be other extensions that are available but less popular.
