Despite the global financial crisis, the Indian economy seems to continue to do well.

India should be able to achieve an annual growth of about seven to eight per cent -- quite a good figure, considering the current climate, President and Chief Executive Officer of the State Bank of India (Canada) Arun Nagarajan said.

[India's banking system] was not exposed to the type of assets which have given rise to the global financial crisis.
 
It is nice to learn that our economy is doing well, otherwise things are very depressing. The surging prices are a big dampener.
 
It's great to see the Indian economy is getting better and better. I guess it only make since with the American and Canadian economy dying out slowly :S

It seems that rising prices and a good economy go hand in hand.

Also, India does seem to be aware that there is an issue with inflation and they are trying to deal with it. It's hard to reduce inflation without reducing economic growth.
