On 28th Feb. 2015 Indian Budget for fiscal year 2015-2016 is out and some bad news that directly effect domain names are :
1. Service Tax increased to 14% from 12.36% and additional cess of 2% imposed further on 14%. This will directly effect the cost of .IN domain names which will increased by at least 2.5%.
2. Even if you buy domain name from out of India registrar it will cost more for .IN because .IN registry charges ST to all registrars irrespective of their country. If Indian buyer buys from foreign registrar it will increase more burden of compliance as import of services will be applicable.
3. Indian domainer's price for purchasing other extensions will also be increased due to ST effect.
