I didn't know GDPR affected India?!

I'm not seeing this on my domains yet.

FWIW, .ca has had similar regulations for years, but as a registrant you could opt out of it. I would hope that there is an opt out provision available if it is implemented in .in.
 
Right now it appears to be dependent on where you are getting your whois data. The article stated that for our.in, the owner could not see his personal data. Not so with where I run my whois information as seen in the screenshot below.Capture.JPG
