Fuzzy Line between domainer and end user prices

If you’ve developed the habit of following domain auctions, I’m sure you’re occasionally left scratching your head after seeing how high some of the prices can get. When involved in bidding wars, domainers sometimes get carried away and rationalize their doubts away to justify continuously increasing their bids. The result? A sales price which leaves little if any upside on the table.

Let me give you an eloquent example, we’ll assume the domain CityXRealEstate.com sells for $5,000 through a domainer to domainer auction, with City X being small and relatively poor. Now of course, even if the city isn’t exactly affluent, the domain is still valuable. People still need a place to live, there’s still a need for realtors and so on. However, your end user sales expectations need to be reasonable or even downright pessimistic.

This is a great read with realistic observation. Read on the complete article here
