If you have the skills to create a Facebook application, then check out the Facebook Developer Contest - India.

Application Requirements: In English or Hindi, you must create either of the following:

(1) Facebook Platform Application; or
(2) Facebook Connect Integration

Prizes: In each of the two categories, three winners will receive USD $4,000 / $2,000 / $1,000.

Eligibility: You must a resident of India and over the age of 16.

Contest Closing Date: 11th September 2009

Seems like Facebook is pushing forward with promoting Facebook in Hindi.

That's very cheap marketing for Facebook. It is likely that they would pay their staff much more than that to develop an application, plus they get the marketing out of it as well.
