Bruce Marler set out to buy the domain name Credit.club, having been inspired by the sales of Wine.club for $140,000.
He should have been charged thousands of dollars for the address but a website-glitch led the domain to be sold for just $10.99.
It is within the company's rights to take back the domain and cancel the purchase but the CEO of the company, Colin Campbell said that the company would honor the deal.
In a statement Mr. Colin said: "The registry does not believe it is in our best interest nor the best interest of the registrant to pull the name back given the substantial investment in time and money he has invested to launch credit.club.
Mr. Bruce says that he eventually wants to cash in on the domain name. Given that the domain name is premium, Bruce has put up a website and plans to sell the it as a business venture, once the website starts making money.
