Do you use the residential address where you stay, in the whois address for domains or do you use a mailing address for the whois address in domains ? What is the normal practice for domain investors who have more than 300 domains?
Any information will be greatly appreciated.

The .in Registry seems to obscure the address of the domain owner, so there should not be an issue with doing that.

I do.

In many years, I have only had one minor incident. Someone showed up at my front door demanding that I return "his" domain. He had forgotten to renew the domain, and I had registered it when it dropped. It was uncomfortable, but not threatening in any way, and I did eventually end up selling the domain to him.
