One of the comments to the article addresses an issue I've been experiencing first hand for years, like, I think, many of you as well. Over the years I've received tons of spam but I've also noticed that a worryingly high amount has been sent by Indian spammers: people trying to sell hosting, crappy domains, etc, using a free email adress (Gmail 90% of the time) and creating a new one each time.

The spam I get seems to come from all over the world, particularly China and Russia.
