Coding round adblockers?

Some of the larger sites I've seen have popups that trigger and hide content if they detect an adblocker. I don't like doing that because it loses traffic, so I coded integral ads that get round the blockers, but I've also seen sites that replace the ads with links to their patreon or flat images linking to their other sites. Do you do anything on your sites to reduce the effect of adblockers?

If you know just some basics, as user, you can easily avoid those triggers. It is actually really easy. It might work as a good tactic for people who are not familiar with internet and browsing a lot, but I always enjoy my adblock and when I find a site that blocks me from viewing certain stuff, there is a really simple way to deal with it by right clicking and selecting one of the given options :))

Staying on topic though, I have no idea honestly. It is hard to just avoid ad-blockers since they evolve as well as the ad industry does. If certain one fails, there will surely be a new one that will show up soon enough.
