Celebrating birthdays

What is the greatest thing you've ever done on your birthday? Last year, I took myself for a treat and enjoyed a hot air balloon ride. Prior to this, I didn't give much thought to these celebrations.

You won't believe this, but I totally forgot my birthday last year and I only realized the next day that it was my birthday when I saw all the messages on my social media. Sad, huh?

The older we grow, the faster we tend to forget some of these festivities. I only remembered that it was my birthday when I walked into the workplace only to realize that my colleagues had organized a surprise birthday party. It was a good feeling but surprisingly, it didn't last beyond the party.
