Earlier today we released the news that Mark Thomas, the CEO & Founder at VIPBrokerage.com, had closed a $3 million sale of a great geodomain - California.com. That's the biggest geodomain sale reported since we began tracking and verifying aftermarket sales back in 2003 (in 2000, before I entered the industry, there were some credible reports of a $5 million sale of Korea.com). The California.com sale also ranks as one of the all-time 20 biggest sales we've reported in any category, tying for 17th on that elite list. So kudos to Mark on another big sale - he's had many including one of the five biggest in 2017, 01.com at $1.82 million.
Another guy who is no stranger to the upper end of the market - James Booth at BQDN.com - also rang the bell again this week, closing a $115,000 sale of GME.com. The ever popular 3-letter .coms have been one of James's specialties and he has sold an extraordinary number of them in recent years.
