The domain sold yesterday on Namejet.com for $2,411 The same domain BedLinens.com sold back in September 2010 on Namejet.com for $22,322 So we are looking at a loss of $20,000 on a purchase of $22K. A loss of 90%

Is this an indication of things to come for the domain aftermarket?

No it doesn't portend to a negative trend in domain valuations.any domain is worth any price IF the seller is desperate or stubborn enough.in this case the seller was probably eager to sell the name. If not then why wasn't a higher reserve set?this is more if an anomaly imo

Gary does have a point however and when he kicked of a debate at DomainFest on the future trends of domain name values, I am sure this was not an example he had considered :)
