Another Example of The Random Nature of Domain Sales

There was a sale on the Sedo sales report that caught my eye this week, it was not a blockbuster sale by any means. I always look at the other tld sales section and focus on the random .net and .org sales.

Every domain investor owns several similar names that are basically reg fee names that beg the question, “Why did they even register that ?”

This week D-One.net sold for $2,900. Not a huge amount of money by any means but a nice price for a name like that. It turns out on top of the nice price it also had a nice holding period, One Month !

The domain was backordered at Pheenix after being dropped 3 times over the past 18 years.
