Advice please

IT.com
Hello I have a .in domain and I am in UK. I received a call from India today asking whether I would sell them the domain name. Please can someone tell me HOW are .in domain names transferred and is it easy to do ?. Regards DG

It's very straightforward - just like transferring a .com domain.

Most registrars allow you simply to "push" the domain to another person's account at the same registrar, which makes the transfer almost instantaneous.

Thanks Jeff. I had enquiry from company and get feeling they are
maybe thinking of issuing one of those Indian UDRP things so now
you tell me what I wanted to know (and pleased it is easy to do)
I am selling domain to a "friend" in Russia.

Regards
DG

If an IDRP is lost, the domain is ordered to be transferred and the registrar will comply with that order.

That is great advice. I have wondered how you would deal with that situation also. Thanks for offering such great advice on this site. I think this will help me a great deal!
