Fiverr

Hello guys. Today, I'd like to ask if any of you have tried marketing your site using fiverr and if so, did you think it was worth the money spent?

Possibly the reason it's difficult to get anywhere is due to a lack of reviews. Nonetheless, fake reviews can be bought, not saying I would try that, though. Anyhow, I suppose the best thing to do is try to get real reviews and over time develop a trusted client base, but that could take months or years.

Well, there is more to it. Having a high level seller with few thousands of ratings is usually a good sign. It does not mean that somebody with low lvl and fewer reviews might not be legit, but if you look at it from non-buyer angle, everyone today wants to earn some quick money. Lots of people who might just be starting with internet marketing and sites like fiverr wouldn't really know the difference. The way I deal with buyers myself - contact them, tell them you want to use their service but since there are many fake users with good reviews, ask them to show you a bit of their social media, campaigns or whatever you are aiming for. Just recently I thought about getting 5$ quick social media buff, but I did the same anyway. It might not be much, 5$, but if we keep filling people with bots to raise traffic, you will get a lot of bad sellers being on featured list while their services might be terrible.

Sorry that I wasn't clear. What I meant is that I'd like to try to purchase a marketing service from the site, not start my own business on there. I have never thought of the fact that some of the gigs probably buy reviews, but I guess it makes sense.

Makefort, you bring up a lot of good points, some that I never even thought about. I have used fiverr a couple of times and I've noticed that with some of the sellers that you can tell from their bio and proposal that they are scammers. Most of the bios are choppy and are written at an elementary school level.

I have tried the service as both seller and buyer. I think some of the buyer can be so unreasonable. For fiverr they expect too much value. I mean some were demanding sales and leads at cost of 5$. I think this has to stop. For 5$ if people expect to move mountains then they deserve to get cheated. That's why I think fiverr is not that good platform for workers.

I've bought stuff on there, like some filler articles written from there when I was short on content, and its OK for custom illustration. Always check the sellers reviews, 'cos you get what you pay for.
