Is This Ethically Irresponsible?

You own a website and then sell it to a well-known company that puts it in their stable of other websites that all do well. This company is publicly traded. After you sell, would you invest in their stock?

Well, personally I would invest in their stock though I'm not very sure if this is ethically acceptable. I think these are very likely scenarios and it would be interesting to know how people go about such incidences, in real life.

Why not? I know people who have sold their sites for stock options rather than cash, so it happens. Some kept running them for the new owners, others stepped away. Why would it be unethical?

I agree that there doesn't really seem anything unethical about it, but I know other people might not see it that way. When there is money to be made or lost, a lot of people will sometimes be willing to seem a little 'unethical' because it's all about the bottom line.

yes I will do that but only if I see this will gives enough profit to me and investing in their stock would be something wise if the company be successful otherwise you just throw your money into the trashcan and I like my money and I don't want to invest it somewhere that I am not sure my money become more otherwise I will invest 100%
