Domain Value?

I am learning about domaining and how to flip domains and I read somewhere that the value of the domain is only determined by how much the potential buyer wants it. Is that true?

If it is the case, then what is the use of services like Estibot etc?

Estibot is fine for giving stats about a domain, but the final value is not going to be very accurate, so don't rely on that.

Because each domain is unique, the ultimate value is going to be what is negotiated between the owner and the buyer.

Still, it is worth reviewing previous sales to get an idea what similar domains have sold for in the past.

Thanks Jeff. I thought that made a lot of sense too. A domain will only have a certain value depending on what it means to the end buyer.
