Complete List of Indian Domain Name Sales

IT.com
appdeveloper.in & goldberg.in for Auction in Sedo (Not Mines though).

I dont seee those domains as currently on auction on sedo. can you send a link? thanks.

It would appear that these domain are on SEDO auction, if you use the RSS feed

https://sedo.com/search/rss/rss.php...hash=014e18807eaa1a5b2be9c644f2443291d9b63014

But, they have no starting price. So this normally means that these would most likely go to auction promo that SEDO runs from time to time.

.IN started this year healthily, but IMO, as of mid year, .IN is not doing as well. I have not had 1 solid sale this year, but i have had a record high # of inquiries and traffic is solid. Many Indians have offered me $100 for names THEY can easily flip for $500 to $2000 so they have been tempting me to make bad decisions and make foolish sales and i have resisted.

But i i am hopeful the rest of the year will be more fruitful. I am open to selling some names cheaper, but probably not less than $300.

I would love to hear others opinions on what i've brought up.

Cheers!

The same for me. I haven't had a single sale in the last 9 months (apart from a couple $xx ones with InForum members). And not that many inquiries either, just time wasters offering as much as $150 for premium 1-worders that would sell (and some have actually sold) for mid to high $xxx, xxx in .com. Not a reassuring first half of the year at all.

Kemji, interesting point of view, because my feeling is different. For me, these past 6 months have been a record in term of inquiries, both in volume and value. I try to be a sub-motivated seller. I wait, until the inquiry is really interesting. As explained in another thread, I have no problem to reject $1000-$1500 offer for a good LLL.in. And I'm ready to wait 10 more years if needed.

The issue with our feelings is that they are based on our domains portfolios, that are too small to be representative of the market trend (at least mine). We must confront our experience to have a idea of the market evolution/trend.

Confession time?

Switch to COM - same effort 10x returns...LOL!
Lol. well i have often got 15x-20x return for my .in sales so no thank you. Also, are the .coms you want me to buy(usually last slice of the pizza) the ones that even new TLDs are replacing? lol.

Wow, well its good to know someone else is seeing the same trend, but i wish you a "different" situation in the near future!

You're so right that waiting out ignorant and time wasting end users will make those cheapos fold in the end. The issue is those of us with inventory. When you have inventory, you still need some sales to recoup your costs. But even 1-3 low $x,xxx sales would keep me content at least. But yes, i'm still renewing and making cheapos watching drop lists fold. .IN can have an uptick at any moment.

I am not so optimistic about .in domains in a short time.
I take a single strategy------spend money to buy and renewal my domains.
Indian enterprise will still not understand what a good domain means in two years

I'll respond later tonight, meanwhile, RENTAL.IN is on auction starting at $501 on SEDO https://sedo.com/auction/auction_de...Origin=&auction_id=190211&origin=&language=us

The number of inquiries is record high as well as the domain traffic. However, in terms of sales it doesn't look that good this year. I had 2 or 3 sales so far, but also a few non-payers for agreed deals. Currently having a pending small sale for a domain I catched a few days earlier. Generally, the last months of 2014 were better in terms of sales. I'm still moderately optimistic especially that I know about many private sales which are not announced.

It's just statistics - you can starve half a year and then sell a few names in one month. Even though the .IN domain space is growing slower than expected it's still growing and there is noticeably more interest in the extension (also including new investors).

I'm with a few of the others in that recently (within the last couple of months) I have received more enquiries and higher offers that ever before (I did recently switch to Voodoo's parking platform though so perhaps that has something to do with it). Traffic seems to be relatively similar to that of 2014 so far.

Feeling very optimistic about the immediate and mid/long-term future of .IN!

I agree with what you are seeing @LLL.IN_KING . .IN started off really well, there were 25 odd reported sales in a couple of months. But then it went down hill. As far as personal sales goes, I have had only 4 of them. I had lots of inquiries till March, but then it dried out also. Since the inquiries dried out and the fact that there were no REPORTED sales , led me to believe that there are external factor controlling the demand. Note that I have mentioned "demand" and not awareness of the value of .in domains. The only good thing is when there were inquiries for .IN domains, I do not get the usual $10 offers anymore. Now a days, I get offers in the range of $100-$300 for .in names. Which is think is better that what I used to get before. I know its not price that I can make a deal, but I think it will get there eventually. I'm optimistic about this.

I had gone through the whole of 2012 with just TWO SMALL sales. It was the worst year of my small domaining career (yet) . But one thing I have learned is to diversify. I started investing in other extensions, mostly .COM. So where I stand today, 10% of my portfolio consists of NON .IN domain. This year ~50% of my sales this year were NON .IN domains. Obviously I do not get a great ROI as .IN domain, but it keeps the money flowing.

I wish you good luck and hope you hold the urge to sell for less.

Yes, good policy, don't let'em go for less

One thing we want to mention that lot of sales are not reported at all , due to one or another reason but as registrar we can witness them .....we can say that lot of peoples are buying and selling .IN names. Only problem we can see (Our personal view) is the short term investors ...they do invest and sell the good names at very low cost due to need of the money and that makes market picture bad.

In 2014 We saw one .in domain name was resold at 20000 USD (purchased by the seller in USD 10000 two years back) and in March 2015 another prime name sold at USD 15000 ....If market is not good then why investors touch the names ?

If we count % of .com TLD transaction in term of total registrations of .com and then on same scale if we compare .IN ...figure will surprise you ...

I regularly hear about decent unreported sales too. Personally I think there really needs to be a big push from .IN investors to report these sales not only to raise awareness of the extension itself but to raise awareness of the true value of .IN names too. I understand that there are NDAs to abide by etc, but where it is possible we need to get the information out there if we want the extension to grow to the heights of other top cctlds like .co.uk and .de.

What irritates me is that everytime DNJournal publishes its list of sales, some extensions, clearly less significant than .IN, are always present with decent prices, just like they have a reserved place on the list. At times, I would want to give up .IN.
