Complete List of Indian Domain Name Sales

And like everyone predicted, ROYAL.IN finished with no more bids, a waste of seven days. Now, let's hope the original buyer pays :)

Assuming that the initial bid was legitimate, the only reason I can think of, is that the seller thinks that royal.in is worth lot more. I agree with the seller on this, royal.in is worth more than $5,500, but would not advocate sending the name to auction, especially on SEDO.

I think the first buyer will give up.
5500 usd is not so much ,if he really want it ,he will bid more times.
So perhaps the deal will be not finished.

And that is the problem , .in investor have higher expect ,but the market give us the real value of current.

Nice commentary. So are you indirectly saying that the seller's best option was to counter offer after the initial offer?

Thats why saying NO is very important and practical in our industry. Buyers have not caught up to actual value of the .in names they are chasing.

Not sure what the seller's situation was , whether it was an initial bid, second bid, third bid or the final offer. But with a $5,500, its better to take the offer or don't sell it at $5,500. Putting it through auction doesn't actually work with .in domain names.

.in still havn't a public market. So we need to wait five to eight years .

I'm not sure what you meant here. I think .in domains are worth a lot. .IN domains have come a long way in the past few years and, I constantly get offers in 3 figures for decent names. The scenario a year back was that I used to get offers of $10.

I'm sure others are also seeing similar trends, so advise all the holders of .in domains to not sell their .in names for cheap.

PHP.in is on sedo auction - $ 600
(Not mine)
Hmmm...am a bit worried about this auction because if it doesnt sell very well then people will say .IN is weak but in reality, this is like the royal.in situation- Another seller making a naive move by pushing to auction on sedo.

Lets see how it goes!
